Lifelong Sisterhood Starts Here
Bid day marks the beginning of the New Member period and is the most anticipated part of the Recruitment process. This is the first time that the new members get to visit the Alpha Phi house as members of our fabulous sorority and begin
getting to know their new sisters.
Last year, our chapter retreat was one of the best we’ve had in years. We stayed at a beautiful house in Santa Barbara, and had a great time getting to know each other better. With dinner, shopping, the beach, and the wonderful Santa Barbara weather,
our retreat was a great way to take a break from the craziness of classes and relax with one another.

One of the best and most anticipated sisterhood event takes place in the middle of fall quarter and is known as Big and Lil sis week. Our new members are showered with gifts from their big sis’ all week and finally at the end the big sis’ are revealed in a secret ceremony.
Big/Lil Week

Because our chapter is one of the largest on the UCI campus, one would think that it would be hard to get to know each sister, but in actuality that has never been a problem. We create great connections through the many sisterhood events that we have every quarter. Throughout the year, whether it’s carving pumpkins for Halloween or watching a late night movie with ice cream sundaes, we take time to get to know one another to truly develop bonds and experience all that Alpha Phi has to offer.
As the year comes to an end, for some it is the last because they are seniors who are on their way to graduation. It's the chapters turn to show how much we appreciate all they have done for us. The week starts off with spirit posters that each senior group makes for their designated senior. Later in the week, the Senior Dessert is a time for each senior to get a personalized centerpiece and speech and enjoy their favorite dessert! The last touch is Bordeaux Ball where each senior gets to wear a tiara and ride in a limo to the event.
